Iam BACK....Maybe

OMG, I didn't realise it has been so long since I last Blogged!!! Why Maybe, cause I am a really bad blogger anyway, never seem to have the time to update, but it has been nagging me lately

So, what has happened since JUNE 2006, well;

1. I turned 40! in August.

2. Rachel celebrated her 3rd birthday, also August.

3. Samantha celebrated her 2nd birthday in November.

4. Little sister is expecting baby #2 any day now, wishing it's a girl, I have so many hand-me-downs to give her. But will not be disappointed if it is another boy. My elder sisters' son will be so happy if it is another boy, you see, out of 6 cousins, he has only 2 male cousins (one on either side) and 1 sister (older). He is feeling a little overrun.

5. Bought my Panasonic FZ50 camera!!! Still trying to master it and as yet have not downloaded any photos from it. Must do that soon.

Now, back to Samantha, she gave me the biggest fright I have had as a mother last Sunday. I was in the back of the house, hanging up clothes in Rachel's room when Michaela yell out that Sam was choking!!! OMG. I ran to the lounge room so see her trying to bring something up and gagging. After a few seconds of panic and making the mistake to hitting her on the back (big No No these days), I then instinctively put my finger in her mouth and popped out a 5 cent piece!

Poor little might was shaking and taking deep breaths after this and so was I. Took me a full 3 hours to calm down and boy did I watch her like a hawk for the next 24 hours. I was even scared to put her to bed in her own room. Well, she developed the hiccups the next day and as a precaution, made an appointment to see our GP the Wednesday. He gave her a good prod and poke and listened to her lungs etc. I didn't know how many she had in her mouth and I was only able to get one out. The Dr said by rule of thumb, if she can swallow it, she can pass it!

Doesn't it just put the wind up you when things like this happen to our kids!

I have not scrapped in MONTHS, not since the online class at Scrapneed that Roz James did. I did spend some money though, finally made the decision between Fiskars Shape Cutter and Coluzzle, I bought the Coluzzle - haven't used it yet, as I am moving my scrap space from the office to our bedroom. This means a smaller space and Ian is yet to put the shelves. I also need a lamp. There is less room to store my cardstock and PP's. Would love to have a space like Carol-Lee's. Will post a photo of the new space when it is finished. I have also been thinking about buying my own laptop.

I am looking forward to the last two weeks of January as I will be on holidays. Hope to pop down the coast for a day trip with the kids, Rachel has to go into hospital to have her teeth filled as she is too scared to have it done in the surgery, there goes $3000.

Well, that is it for a quick update. Hope everyone had a great New Year and here's to 2007.

Wasted Day!

Took Monday off work as I am so tired and needed a break. Was going to see The Da Vinci Code and with both Rachel and Samantha in childcare and Michaela in school, Ian and I were going to go to the movies. Would have been great to have a day out with just us and no kids. But, as always, DIDN'T HAPPEN! Sorry Gail but you raise you hopes again, we can't have that can we.

Ian wasn't able to finish his work on Sunday so had to go back Monday morning. He didn't return home until around 11 am and then it was too late to go as the movie runs for about 2.5 hours + the crap they put in front of it. So spent the day at home miserable. Should have just gone to work.

Why do I bother planning and looking forward to anything!! I doesn't matter what I plan for myself, it just never happens. I ALWAYS end up giving up anything I would like. Even little things like going to the movies.

*SAM Retreat in Oct 2005 - place booked and paid for - Sorry, can't afford the transport.......GONE!

*New Year Mason girls reunion - this was going to be at lease two weeks away from all the crap we had been through and we were staying at my big sisters - Sorry can't afford kennels for dog, fuel and play money while there......GONE!

*Scrapbooking...... sorry, camera is crap, its only 3 mp and every shot is either blurred or grainy, prints are crap due to camera, can't afford to buy product, can't afford to buy new camera or go to crops, may as well give this up too. I will pack everything into boxes and either sell it, give it away or store it somewhere, maybe in 10 or 15 years time I will be able to have a hobby.

Life's like that...... and for me, it probably always will be.

Update my blog

Just changed the Template for my blog this morning. The pink started to become a bit too much.

Also found the video clip I have been searching for for a couple of months... Yippee!! It's Garth Brooks - The Red Strokes. I just love the song, very passionate and the video is an artistic masterpiece and Garth is a nice piece too. Just a little dissapointed about the ad before it thought. Hope you enjoy it. Will leave it on for a while I think.

That is it for now.

See ya

What's been happening lately?...you ask.....

Well, I can start to see the workload easing off a little. Thank God! I am feel so so tied lately, but I suppose these late nights are not helping.

I made a giant leap yesterday, I finally went to see a counselor to talk through all of the happenings in our lives over the last 18 months, from Ian's heart attack in Jan 05, the liquidation of the Building Co and then the bankruptcy and fight to keep the house. I have this huge weight on my shoulders and with work pressures, it has just build up and up. Well, I was not what I expected and I came out there very disappointed. What a waist of my time. I think the counselor was way over his head with my "problems". Anyway, I had a chat to our OH&S Coordinator at work (these sessions are through work) and she suggest I call them back and ask to see a different counselor, which is exactly what I did. Another appointment next wednesday.

After all that, I just couldn't concentrate at work today. I managed to finish one of the projects before I left at 3pm today (Ian is working tonight so I needed to be home early). On arriving at my car this afternoon, I found a lovely yellow envelope on my windscreen, yep, $70.00 fine for not paying for parking. Not enough coins this morning, I wish these machines took notes, I have enough notes!!!!

Oh well, I said, Sh*t Happens. Then, while picking up Rachel from childcare, I received another fine. I thought I would only be a few minutes so didn't put coins in the meter. Well, Rachel needed a nappy change before we left and then she had to show me the Jelly Fish she made today etc. So another $70.00 fine, that's $140.00 in one day!!! Do you realise how much scrap stuff I could buy for that!!! We really cannot affort the first one, but two. Ian said he would draft me a letter to try to get off the second one, but the 1st is purely my fault, so we will have to pay that one.

I have been playing the games on my work computer through lunch over the last week or so and have rediscovered Minesweeper. Yes, that frustrating game where you need to work out were the mines are. Managed to win the two smaller size games, but the last is proving a bit of a challenge. Almost solved it the other day,..... almost!

Well cheers for now

Been away......again

It's been quite a while since I last Blogged. I am not going to do a big catch up post here. Too much to tell.

Great news the Miners were rescued yesterday morning, and don't they look well. Hope they follow up with counseling, that is most important.

Very happy Grant Denyer and his partner Amanda won Dancing With The Stars last night! He was such a surprise package. I am very impressed. He is quite a cheeky fellow too.

Hello to all of the gals from the forum at SAM who drop in to have a look see.

I might change my colours, bit over the pink now. Well, better go, as I am blogging at work. It is 7.56 am and I have so much work to do. Overtime tonight and tomorrow night and most likely through next week as well.

Well cheers for now.

I've been AWOL

It has been a long time since I have blogged. A lot is happening but to involved to go into here. Well, I have had a lovely 3 weeks of work and just finished my first week back. Not much has changed there. We had a look at another payroll system on Tuesday, and I must say, it got everybody excited. So much better the our current one.

The kids enjoyed Christmas and we took them to Batemans Bay for the day in early January. Michaela really enjoyed the surf and she has come a long way with her confidence in the water. Rachel and Samantha also enjoyed themselves, it was their first beach trip. Silly me didn't take any photos, I was too busy running after Rachel and Samantha.

Some exciting news is that Rachel Axton may be moving to Canberra. Yeah!!!!! This means I will have two fantastic scrappers local, Rachel and Nic Wright. Now I just need to meet them and I will be in heaven.

Well the floors have been mopped, and the vaccuming done, now I just need to feed Rachel who is hounding me ATM for a "biccie Mum, peas!"

Work and Home

Well I can finally blab about events at work. My team mate has been head hunted and is leaving next Friday. So, what was a team of 4 a few months ago, is now 1, ME! First, Emily goes under not so pleasent circumstances, (bloody management), then, as a result of that debarcle, they box themselves into a corner and loose Jason, (better offer elsewhere), and now Tush is going too. This leaves me with a payroll of 700 odd staff to pay and train up two temps on a payroll system that is a joke. Talk about pressure, and all this while we have to meet the pay deadline. Stop the world I wanna get off!!!!

As well as that, on the home front, our two youngest, 2yrs and 10mths have the Chicken Pox. Poor munchkins. But it looks like the spots have all come out now and we just have to wait for them to crust over and heal. They have been so good considering everything, but with the Pintarsol baths, Calamine lotion and a bit of Polarimine, they are doing really well. Our eldest, 7, has not shown any sign of the virus, EVER, she has been in contact with Chicken Pox since she was a toddler at Childcare, and has never come down with it. I find that really odd.

This weekend is going to be great, Daylight Saving starts and Mum arrives on Saturday for a weeks visit. It will be great to have her here. The kids miss her and so do I. Our babies will have Grammie to cuddle up to now as well. Pity she lives so far away, although, we always have a place to stay for our holidays up the coast.

Oh, and I finally changed the name of my blog, now I just need to spruce it up a bit.

Cheers for now
