Work and Home

Well I can finally blab about events at work. My team mate has been head hunted and is leaving next Friday. So, what was a team of 4 a few months ago, is now 1, ME! First, Emily goes under not so pleasent circumstances, (bloody management), then, as a result of that debarcle, they box themselves into a corner and loose Jason, (better offer elsewhere), and now Tush is going too. This leaves me with a payroll of 700 odd staff to pay and train up two temps on a payroll system that is a joke. Talk about pressure, and all this while we have to meet the pay deadline. Stop the world I wanna get off!!!!

As well as that, on the home front, our two youngest, 2yrs and 10mths have the Chicken Pox. Poor munchkins. But it looks like the spots have all come out now and we just have to wait for them to crust over and heal. They have been so good considering everything, but with the Pintarsol baths, Calamine lotion and a bit of Polarimine, they are doing really well. Our eldest, 7, has not shown any sign of the virus, EVER, she has been in contact with Chicken Pox since she was a toddler at Childcare, and has never come down with it. I find that really odd.

This weekend is going to be great, Daylight Saving starts and Mum arrives on Saturday for a weeks visit. It will be great to have her here. The kids miss her and so do I. Our babies will have Grammie to cuddle up to now as well. Pity she lives so far away, although, we always have a place to stay for our holidays up the coast.

Oh, and I finally changed the name of my blog, now I just need to spruce it up a bit.

A bit of fun......

On Roz's blogsite, she has challenged people to Google their first name and the word "needs" and then to list the first 5 responses, i.e. Gail needs:

1. Gail needs help

2. Gail needs to ask for her drinks at the same time that she is asking if the bar is open.

4. Gail needs cash to get her through the next couple of weeks.

Well, I can certainly agree with No. 4 ATM. Give it a try and see what you come up with.

Tweaking

Well, I have been playing around with this blog of mine and I am still not happy with its name, but, it will do until Genius hits me and then I will change it. Have been flicking between the different bits of this blog to set it up how I like it. Not sure how to put a photo of meself in me profile yet. I am a bit stupid when it comes to unfamiliar territory like this. Maybe someone can shed more light on it for me. Most likely the how to is staring me in the face and I just cannot see it for looking........

What I really should be doing is tweaking (sorting out) my scrap space/desk/room. Since Hubby's business when under, I have turned our home office into my SCRAP ROOM!! Yah for me. Now I just need to sort through the mess here on the desk. It's a mixture of scrap supplies, software boxes, music cd's, sheet music, and general stationary stuff covering the whole desk!!! Its a bloody mess. Wait a minute or two and I will take a photo and show you. (If I can get it to work)...................

Well, after a little investigating, I worked out how to get the photo to appear where I want it. But there must be an easier way, I'll work it out enventually. Anyway, as you can see, the desk is a little cluttered, but it has potential. I have the bookcase in the background to overtake, and there is a shelf on the wall above the desk (out of view) that is just aching to be loaded with folders and scrap mags.

Looking around me while I type this and the bug has bitten, I just have to start on this project and sort things out. So I will sign off for today and let you know how I went in my next post.

Hello and welcome to my BLOG

Well I did it, I have started a "Blog". Hope you enjoy reading this and peaking into my life.

I have read a few of the blogs posted by others and enjoyed them. While I was contemplating starting this Blog, I dictated what I would say in my head. Now that I have started it, my mind is , yep, blank!

Where should I start, well, I am currently blogging while having my lunch break at work, which technically finished 10 minutes ago. Maybe I should stop and blog again tonight at home, Yep, I will do that. So see you all later.
